What are the top 5 best Bomberman games you have ever played?

I will make my list soon, but I am tied with quite a few games. Neo-bomberman, Bomberman Max 2 both versions, Tournament, Saturn Bomerman, those seem to be the best.

Bomberman Act Zero is not in my top but it deserves a mention because most of the low scores for it where only for appearance which should not even be effecting the review, and I bet the gae would have gotten an 8 or more if they used the cute bomberman design and had the same game so BS.

Me and a good friend of mine use to spend hours playing Bomberman 2 together, so I'm gonna have to say it's my favorite.

I've played a few other Bomberman games but none of them have stuck with me as much as it has.

I grew up on the original NES Bomberman, so it holds a high place for me.

For the 2D titles, Saturn Bomberman wins, no contest. Hudson Soft/Konami hasn't surpassed its 10-player cap...well, maybe they have, but it's a smartphone version (really?) that obviously isn't available over here. Bomberman Tournament deserves special mention for its Zelda-esque singleplayer mode, though; I really wish they stuck to the original "Bomberman Story" title, as it fits the game far better. "Tournament" sounds too much like it's only online multiplayer with singleplayer as an afterthought (like a certain FPS series)...which would actually describe all the recent digital download versions on current platforms quite well, come to think of it. Still, multiplayer does get points for being fully functional with just one game cartridge; all the other players just need GBAs and link cables. Moving on into 3D, I actually like Bomberman 64 and The Second Attack! quite a bit. Some people don't, but the former tried some new things with the formula while distinctly feeling like a Bomberman game, so I don't mind. The Second Attack! did scale it back a bit (cross-shaped explosions return for most bombs, for a start, and you're back to picking up the Power Glove before being able to pick up and pump bombs), but was still enjoyable regardless. I'd pass judgment on Bomberman Generation's singleplayer mode, but I lost my disc a while back. (I don't count Bomberman HERO here since it's obviously a platformer spinoff.) As for Act Zero, the camera doesn't show enough of the playing field or is at a wrong angle, the loading times are ridiculous, and you can't save your progress throughout its several levels. Even if it had the cutesy art style we're used to, it probably wouldn't be as well-received if everything else stayed the same. Also, music. REALLYCATCHYMUSIC! And if that wasn't enough, here's Saturn Bomberman's soundtrack. (Also, if you're familiar with Yasunori Mitsuda for his JRPG work, he composed The Second Attack!'s soundtrack, too.) Now I just need a second Saturn multi-tap, seven more gamepads, and nine other people to fulfill one of my life dreams: 10 people in one room, around one TV, playing Saturn Bomberman multiplayer at once! Unfortunately, the prices for all those Saturn controllers add up.

Pocket Bomberman for the GBC was the only one I ever had, but I loved it.

Super Bomberman on the SNES gets my vote for the best Bomberman game.

Its one of the best four player games I've ever played.

I remember having to special order it and paying $100.00 for the game and multi-tap and while it seemed expensive at the time, we played that games for hours. I've yet to come across a Bomberman game since thats captured what the SNES version had.

My favorite all time Bomberman game is Bomberman 93'TurboGrafx-16 (you can also get this on the Wii Virtual console). Anyone on here play it?

The sense of challenge is great on the single player mode and local multiplayer was classic fun!

Already got him again huh? Good riddance.

On topic, I absolutely loved Bomberman 64. Spent hours playing MP with my broher growing up, and the numerous collectibles combine with the fun levels and bosses made the whole game a worthwhile experience.

After that it would either be Bomerman Tourney, or Bomberman Hero. Didn't Hudson go under? I coulda sworn they did. Does that mean no more Bomberman games?

Absorbed, not gone under. Parent company owns the IP, Hudson decided now to dissovle all its IPs so there MAY BE more Bomeberman games. but the last few were not really "games" IMO and would like things to go back to Neo/Saturn and Tournament type adventure gameplay.

Really. Same thing for Atomic Punk. Also, Bomberman itself is older than most people think, with its roots on the MSX and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. The Western title for this original version, which predates the NES/Famicom version by a few years? "Eric and the Floaters". No, really. I don't know how anyone at Hudson Soft thought that sounded better than Bomberman.
