An unconfirmed source at the Battlefield design studios, has confirmed that work is complete on the new blockbuster game BATTLEFIELD 2142. Using a modified frostbite 3 engine the game will capture all the action of the old game combined with the power of modern computing.

The source has also quashed rumors that the game will only be available on PC and PS4. saying "This game will be available on PC and both next gen platforms."

I'm not sure they would be making 2142 since they have already made it years ago... unless its a reboot.

I remember the first Battlefield 2142.

I spawned three times and was sniped within seconds of entering the game. Then I uninstalled the beta and never played it again. lol

Surprised that it would be completed so soon. I thought Battlefield took longer to release their games

@ZZoMBiE13: Sounds like a similar experience I've had. Camp and sniper heavy.
