I have the RE4 Collector’s Edition preordered and it looks sick. Hopefully GameStop doesn’t cancel on me. What say you, GD? Are you a fan of collector’s editions?

Depends on the price and how bad I want it, but if I do the price wouldn't put me off. I have bought several collectors editions throughout the years.
No because I'm a cheapskate. As far as I can recall, I've never gotten a collector's version of a game.
My Signalis physical was a collectors edition I suppose.
Usually value if the contents of a order is something I'm generally interested in. Not to mention with my limited space it has to be something I actually want on display. Already have much higher quality statue figures from this franchise. The best probably being OG Pursuer/ Nemesis, S.T.A.R.S Outfit Jill Valentine, and Revelations 2 Barry Burton.
Resi4Remake is still day-one for me, and if it's even 75% as good as the original It'll be a good time.
At this point in time we have seen a change in collector editions and not necessarily for the better. Today people buy them in the hopes of an increase in value even if the set is complete swill. Years back you'd see these editions lingering on the shelves well after release and I can tell you that many of the ones I bought were purchased on sale months after release such as GTA IV (safe deposit box), Bioshock 2 (vinyl album), DR2 Zombrex Edition, BOTU S/E., etc..,
I don’t go for collector’s editions even if I am a big fan of a game or series. I only buy a deluxe version of a game if it comes with significant perks, for example the deluxe version of Diablo IV allowing you to play a few days before the full release was enough to entice me to purchasing it.
I've only bought one or two collector's editions for myself, but I do buy them just to resell them later. I have two Zelda collector's editions pre-ordered now and don't even own a switch, I just know I'll make a tidy profit off of them later.

I don't see How. Nintendo can make a massive profit off of locking fast travel behind a plastic toy in a Zelda game but it's messed up that I can make a little extra change from jumping on a business deal? If someone's willing to part with some extra coin to get something they missed out on, I'll supply that for the money I invested. If They are willing to pay it, and I'm willing to sell it. Business is business, It's Just like what Nintendo Does, but on a smaller scale.
@SolidGame_basic: I'll be so, so sad when I deposit that money in my bank. So sad.
Yes, Collectors Editions are worth $1,000,000 lol. That would be nice.
@SolidGame_basic: More like a free mortgage payment lol. Not sure why you're so bothered by how other people spend their own money, but I'll be satisfied so it doesn't really matter to me.

Not sure where you are seeing I said I am bothered by how other people spend their own money. my point was that it’s sad that you’re flipping collector‘s editions at the expense of true fans of the game who want that memorabilia which is the true purpose of product regardless of how you view it. And in many cases those fans won’t get it at all because you’re making it unattainable for them.
@SolidGame_basic: You're bothered by stating me buying something with my money is "messed up" and "sad" . Here's the real life fact: The true purpose of the product, whatever it is, is to make money. Period. That collector's edition is made to turn a profit, regardless of whatever Fandom crap they spew. Thet's why they have collector's editions and limited edition runs in the first place.
Sorry if a "true fan" missed out on some product, but it's their own fault for not jumping on it. Supply and demand, That's how our entire economic system works so they may as well get used to it.
Again, missing my point, but to each their own. I will say though, if you think companies are making a massive profit by selling rare collector’s edition, you’re not thinking this through lol.
