AQWBlaZer91's Top 10 Countdown:
The Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2014
Last year we got our hands on the XBox One and the PlayStation 4 and while most titles didn't showcase the system's true potential, many gamers can hope that this year shows off some real good games. This countdown talks about my Top 10 games that I'm looking forward to this year. Which 10 games made the list?
10: Final Fantasy XV
Platform: XBox One/PlayStation 4
Genre: Role Playing
Developer: Square Enix
Release Date: TBA 2014
Last year Square Enix's popular RPG series has had some extremely bad games but that trend does not end with Lightening Returns, Of all the Final Fantasy games that are possibly coming out this year is FF XV. Originally announced to be released as Final Fantasy Versus XIII it promises to be more open world and I hope that it's not like with Final Fantasy XII. The battle system does look promising so hopefully this game will the be the series final chance of redemption.
9: Broken Age

Broken Age is a return of Tim Schalfer's point and click adventure roots which started as a kick starter. The game is going to centre around two young characters who seek to break the tradition with their own lives. The boy is living alone on a spacecraft while the girl is trying to avoid being sacrificed to a monster by her own village. You get to switch between the two characters and the designer said that the point and click gameplay will be more modernized.

Nintendo's famous mascots are back to brawl out on the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. While there are no plans for cross platform compatibility but however Mega Man joins the fight as well as additional Nintendo characters. Dying Light is a new twist in survival horror, it's set in a zombie apocalypse were the game will feature a day and night cycle. You explore the environments for any supplies and weapons as well as save any survivors who might still be alive, you'll be able to set up traps for the infected. They maybe slow put during the day they become faster and deadlier and a lot more difficult to avoid.
5: Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes

Genre: Stealth

Metal Gear Solid 5's graphics looked incredible during the XBox One showcase but however it's gameplay tweak is what catches the attention. The game is aiming to include different ways of traversing through each area and sneaking methods, these include taking a plane, helicopter or a motorcycle. We can hope that this game and it's follow up The Phantom Pain will provide excellent openworld stealth gameplay.
4: Destiny

Bungie's new shooter title Destiny will include on-the-fly matchmaking that will allow players to see and interact only with other players with whom they are "matched" by the game. Destiny will incorporate a new game engine that allows global illuminations and real-time dynamic lighting to occur together. Destiny really impressed a lot of us during the E3 showings so many gamers can't wait to join together in battle.
3: Watch Dogs
Platform: PC/PlayStation 3/PlayStation 4/Wii U/XBox 360/XBox One
Genre: Action

The game received a delay last year but this year will mark the games arrival. We were amazed to see the amount of stuff you can hack into during the gameplay such as people's phones and malfunctioning equipment. The game's combat includes parkour and other mechanics of a third person shooter.
2: Tales of Symphonia Chronicles/Tales of Xillia 2
Platform: PlayStation 3
Genre: Role Playing Game
Developer: Namco Bandai Games
Release Date: Tales of Symphonia Chronicles: 25th February 2014 (North America), 28th February 2014 (Europe), Tales of Xillia 2: Summer 2014
The Tales of Series has got a brand new future ahead for it's fans and while I could comment on the recently announced Tales of Zestiria but however that game doesn't come out till 2015 in time for the series 20th Anniversary. Tales of Symphonia Chronicles remasters both Tales of Symphonia and Dawn of the New World into an HD compilation including all the content from the Japanese PS2 version of the first game and the content from the European version of the Wii game. We've yet to know if Dawn of the New World will use the PS3 Move or have any downloadable costumes for this version available. Tales of Xillia 2 follows a new main character named Ludger who's decisions will make an impact on the story, you will also have to help the main character to pay for his 20 Million Gald debt. All the games are going to have enjoyable battle systems.
1: Ironfall
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Genre: Third Person Shooter
Developer: VD-DEV
Release Date: Spring 2014
There is just one genre that Nintendo's 3DS platform is lacking, and that would be the Third Person Shooter or a First Person Shooter title and that needs to actually happen. One of those TPS titles that catches my interest is a Nintendo 3DS game called Ironfall which aims to push the limits of the 3DS. Ironfall aim's to make the game into a Gears of War style game that runs at 60 FPS by taking advantage of the PlayStation 3'ish graphics engine. This is a type of game that the Nintendo 3DS system needs right now and I can't wait till Spring to see the result, making the number one spot of the most anticipated game of 2014.
