Anyone remember how much they paid for Nintendo Games when they first came out?

I remember paying as high as 49.99 a game.

Yeah I think that $50 was the price of the average nintendo game. I wonder how much that is adjusted for inflation

Most I paid for a Gamecube game was $50. I have no idea what it was for the N64 or GBC.

paid like 50 on GBA...couldn't tell u about GBC or GC cause when i was buying GBC games they were a bit older and i was a lot younger... all my GC games i got after the Wii came out so they were all cheap... except for Melee which was like 49.00. Whatever though cause i love that game. Brawl is better though:D

About $50 on average. I remember clearly being in toys R' Us and Looking At Super Mario Bros 3 's 50 price tag and saying "i'm gonna have to wait for that price to drop..."

When I was a kid SNES games cost $60-80, and so did N64 games a few years later, Game Boy games were cheaper: $25-35.

NEs games I believe were $40-50. One of the posters above is correct, SNES games were as high as $80 or so. I remember buying games like WWF Royal Rumble and Mortal Kombat for $75.99. Freakin ridiculous. Howver, that will never compare to Neo-Geo; I think those games were $199 each...

I still have the original box for Pinbot on the NES and I paid $59.99 for it way back in the day. Amazingly I still play and love the game like no other.
