I just got back into the GBA and i hate the DS, I know theres alot of games for it but i just want to know what the good ones are. All I have is Golden Sun for now, money isnt really an object because most gba games are cheap.

so here are a few impressive games:
metroid fusion
metroid zero mission
zelda minish cap
castlevania aria of sorrow
castlevania harmony of dissonance
castlevania circle of the moon
There aren't any good GBA games, 'cause that thing is not good at all.. Just throw it away and get a PS3 or something, or if you can't.. then stop playing!!:(Driv5rNoone likes a fanboy.

It's a shame when kids these days can't appreciate good 2d video games. The GameBoy Advance is a nice system, don't listen to this fanboy.
yeah there are a good # of GBA games. some of the games I personally like are
Classic NES Series: Super Mario Bros.
Classic NES Series: Legend of Zelda
Pacman collection
Final Fight One
Tekken Advance
Mario Kart Super Circuit
Wolfenstein 3d
true the GBA is an old handheld now, with very poor 3d capabilities, but the 2d games run perfect and look great.

arent all video games 2d?Everyone named off a bunch of good games, so instead of repeating them, I am going to add a few they missed.
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land (Remake of Kirby's Adventure for NES)
F-Zero Maximum Velocity
F-Zero GP Legend
If you are looking for getting the most bang for your buck you should go with Pokemon or Fire Emblem.
My recommendations out of the games listed above are #1 Metroid Zero Mission (This was second favorite Metroid game next to Super Metroid) #2 Zelda The Minish Cap (This is one of the better Zelda games in my opinion) #3 Castlevania Double Pack (If you can find this guy, it comes with Harmony of Dissonance and Aria of Sorrow) .
Hey, c'mon! Why did you report me to the moderators just for saying GBA isn't a good console!
They removed points from me! What's wrong with you?!?!Driv5r
You probably got reported for, well, "intending solely to annoy or offend other users." When somebody is asking for game recommendations for a specific console, telling them that said console is bad fits that description.
the first sonic advance is a great game. its much better than the 2nd and the 3rd. plus, pretty much any castlevania game for the gba is good too.

If you don't like the GBA, make a thread about why you hate it. Don't bring it to a recommendations thread
I heard a lot of recommendations for Golden Sun which I picked up, but I found the game to be just average, still haven't finished it yet, maybe I'll get back to it some day!
There is a crapload of incredible games on GBA:
Action/Adventure:
First-Person Shooter:
Platformer:
Run-N-Gun:
NES Classic Series:
Classic Game Boy/GBC Games (Can be played on GBA):
Astro Boy: Omega Factor. Not even an Astro Boy fan, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes beat-em-ups and/or shoot-em-ups. It's a side-scrolling brawler/shmup hybrid by Treasure (makers of Gunstar Heroes, Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, and many more). Excellent game. Tight controls, hard-but-fair difficulty, incredibly unique boss fights (especially later on when you fight the World's Strongest Robots), and a surprisingly rich, engrossing story.
Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Zelda the Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, all of the Super Mario Brothers Advance games, Zelda a Link to the Past/ Four Swords, Pokemon 3rd generation (Ruby Sapphire Emerald) Pokemon Firered/ Leafgreen, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Star Wars Epizode 3 (you better beleive it!)... all for now.

Funny how many people get duped by this kind of revival, isn't it? People, CHECK THE DATES ON THE THREAD YOU'RE RESPONDING TO.
But to contribute, I'll echo TallDude's post and say that the iD Software games ("DOOM", "DOOM II", & "Wolfenstein 3D") are all fantastic on the GBA. Still tote them around and play them often!
:)
Lots of great ones, especially RPGs and Platformers. Â It was a great system for me as I didn't play a lot of the SNES games before when the GBA released so it pretty much felt like a portable SNES to me. Â Anyways, the games I'd recommend are:
Advance Wars 1/2
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow/Circle of the Moon
F-Zero Maximum Velocity
Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones
Golden Sun
Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
Mario Kart Super Circuit
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga
Metroid Fusion/Zero MissionÂ
Pokemon Ruby/Fire Red
Wario Land 4
And if you haven't played any of the SNES games, definitely pick those up.
Mother 3 is amazing. The battle system is pretty basic, but the world is so unique, the story strikes such a balance between humor and quirkiness and emotion, and there is actually quite a bit of depth to it by videogame story standards. The music is also extremely unique.
