So I was trying to catch a better glimpse of the Alien creature in the upcoming Alien: Isolation. And since the part where the alien is most visible is the airlock part I decided to frame by frame my downloaded video.

And I found what I didn´t wanted to find. Sadly, it looks that the only (and very short) video released by the company shows the far from professional work this guys are doing. Collider problems in the only footage released in the only part where the alien is visible...a shame.

See for yourselves:

(download an HD video and frame by frame yourselves and not in youtube (still in youtube is visible).

1 - Hand going through the door:

2 - Body going through the door:

3 - Head going through the door:

Now...when I fist heard of this game I got really excited. I imagined, like any other Alien fan who has been thinking and wanting a game like this for years and years: a true Alien experience like in Alien 1.

But after some thinking I started to pay attention to the details on the release and of course, the images you see here.

Don´t get me wrong people, I love Alien universe. And since that, and the enormous expectation that the game developed inside my brain I started to slow down and think out cold the following:

+ FOR a game that will be released very soon, the amount of in game video footage is none almost. They have distributed the same videos (short by the way and non continuous but separated) to every game media out there. Not more than 10 minutes total. This guys are claiming in the interviews this game is "massive" and takes place on a "huge" space station.

I mean, if I have a game almost ready to be released and I am just polishing it, comprehending a "massive" space station...the only video footage I have to release is this?. NOBODY at editing even looked at it twice and told the publicity people: "hey guys! the alien goes through the freaking door!!! we can´t release this!. Make another one and then call the press". But no.

Why? Dates. they had to release something on that specific date since their contract demanded it. And they did. That is called PRESSURE.

+ THEN I started to look at the developers faces. On the Origins video and the interviews (watch them and you will see). They look exhausted. They look tired. They look like they haven´t slept in days... that is called PRESSURE.

+LATER I listen to the words really carefully. And I started to listen what all the companies that have a trickery going on tell the press: "this is the first-time-in-video-game-history-with-an-intelligent-creature-never-before-seen-unique-groundbreaking-we-only-have-it" crap I heard a million times before...

AND NOW...I AM SCARED.

Very scared. Since I am thinking this people was developing Alien Isolation as a fail safe project in case Colonial Marines was a piece of crap (as it turned to be).

Think: They have been developing this game for 3 years!!. And after 3 years they have 10 minutes of non linear gameplay with BUGS in it??!!!!!!.

They show no Amanda. No NPC´s at all. And just seconds of a non finished Alien...

Everyone is expecting to be able to grab the cups on the tables and be able to at least toss them to the Alien even if he is coming at you to kill you. Hoping to be able to use all those hundreds of devices on the walls and computers and monitors and peep on the boxes that are stacked up on the corners here and there...search the dead bodies..and lots of nice things..

BUT the video shows a gasoline jarr that turns highlighted red showing is an usable item and NONE of the other objects on the scenery look to be even touchable...

I have the fear this "super never before seen Alien hunter" will be scripted to specific events and that all the players will encounter him in the same corridor after pressing the same switch or at the same kitchen after opening that certain door and not ANYWHERE at ANYTIME...

I have the fear that gameplay will consist in staying beneath a table for 2 hours per room and wanting to shoot the freaking alien out of frustration and bored just to realize you can´t...

I have the fear the story will SUCK.

I have the fear the gameplay itself will consist of 80% puzzle solving ala 7th guest having the Alien creeping around just to make you loose time and extend the gaming experience 4 extra hours of the 3 hours the game will probably last.

I don´t know...

I look at Creative Assembly and they look like college kids working to accomplish the cash bonus of making the game in time...and not giving a sh*t about whatever goes wrong...

I mean...If that alien game is released with bugs on the alien itself...what a mess it could be.

They tricked us so many times to rob us with this franchise...I have all the reasons to believe they are indeed doing it one more time.

It's not due for release soon at all, Q4 is definitely far enough away to fix the major tragedy that is a clipping animation.
