"Call of Duty: Future Warfare, Space Warfare, Secret Warfare, and Advanced Warfare domains all locked down by megapublisher".

Yes, it's that sad, Activision registered a bunch of internet domains revealing the likely intention to set future installments of the CoD franchise... well, in the future.

Aside from the fact that Advanced Warfare sounds a hell lot like Ubisoft's Advanced Warfighter (lawsuit on the horizon?), I really hope they are not planning on calling a Call of Duty "Space Warfare", because that sounds more like an appropriate title for a cheesy 1950s B-movie than an action video game.
Of all the titles listed above, only Future Warfare can be taken seriously, while Secret Warfare makes me think of Austin Powers, for some reason.

Still, it doesn't matter whether they will be able to come up with a decent title for their game, the ugly truth remains that it will be developed by Treyarch, and that's the real bummer.

So are you ready for more warfare... ***IN SPACE***?!

Mmmm, smells delicious. :P

Seriously though I really like the idea myself. I think a CoD gaming set in space could be very cool.

It's more than likely they're just keeping control of possible content and keeping their options open. Although Post-Modern Warfare could be a worthwhile tangent once they've drained the juices from the mummified corpse of CoD.

I like the idea too, but Space Warfare? It couldn't be cheesier if it had holes in it and came from Switzerland.

Yeah I think Future Warfare is a better sub-title. It's not uncommon though for companies to register a few other similar titles just to cover their bases for future considerations.

I think it would be enjoyable if it wasn't some super duper halo future with jet packs and stuff. I would like it more if it was just a little bit into the space age. Alot of space stations, still using rockets and stuff. And one cool thing, for reality sake, would be if your EAV in space suit shooting people, the only sound you hear is your own breating and the radio. I know it prob won't,but i would be awesome.

It's kinda crazy that IW got broken up because they wanted to do stuff along the lines as what Acti is letting everyone else do with CoD now that IW is gone.

I have personally never played Halo. But trust me, if I want to play a laser pew pew FPS game, I'd go for Halo.

Grenade spam meets the Needler...I can't wait!

I would be kinda interested in seeing the technology for a space warfare game, though, because I'm just nerdy like that. But, I mean, you can't use conventional weapons in space as their parts would seize up pretty quickly, if they didn't outright fuse together from the extreme temps. Activision might actually have to use their imagination on this one.

So you say, with no more factual basis than the comment you are responding to. I don't think this means the game is a definite anyway, domains are often bought up in speculation, they don't necessarily equal a game being produced.
