I remember seeing that so long ago, looked like a jukebox
Did this ever come out? Played dvds and mp3s i think. Does anyone have this?
Yeah it was only ever released in Japan, for some reason it never really took off, hence we've never seen nor heard of Panasonic making another console.
It does look cool though, I'd buy one (if I wasn't getting a Wii) also I seen a Virtual Boy (only released in Japan too) for sale in my local gamestore going for a £150 ($170-180) seesh....

Yes, the Virtual Boy did indeed fail but it illustrates Nintendo's pioneering and experimental spirit. Sony and Microsoft are only in it for the money. The problem with the Virtual Boy is that it was too ahead of it's time, the technology wasn't there, I mean, making such a device today would be a daunting task, they did in the 90's!Hate to break it to you but Nintendo is only in it for the money.
Even looking back at the original NES, Nintendo was experimenting with motion response with the Pad, Power Glove and Light Zapper, in fact, the Wii controller has its roots in the NES.
When we look at today's cell phones that are equipped with video games, we are reminded of Gunpei Hideki's Game and Watch which preceded the venerable NES itself. He also invented the Gameboy which pushed things further. We owe everything to Nintendo.
