Dark night I'd say Cloud

Dark night= heavy swordsman with a combination of magic

for Red mage possibly i forgot his namefrom final fantasy mystic quest the main character

Red Mage= swordsman/archerer/lancer who uses some magic but it more effective using magic but can also be a powerfull attacker

for blue mage i would say Yojimbo from final fantasy 10 because he had that awesome wolf like animal that was always at his side

Blue mage= taimer ( can taim or have taimed animals)

they did give him a boys voice in kindom hearts.........i do remember something about him being an experiment........it was awhile back i played it tho

Technically, Vivi is genderless, but in the game, they call him a male on more than one occasion.

also all you presented to me seems to just be against what I am stating maybe you could try to use affirmed facts from games like final fantasy 5, final fantasy 3 for the DS , or even X-2

also i would like to see who infact you know is a dark night and they can't learn magic along the way or have equipable magic it must be someone who knows it already and uses it with a sword with fairly equal ability and you can't say Sephiroth, Tidus, Squall, and Vaan because if you pick a main character or somone who is similar to them it will only prove my point  

FfVII - Aeries

FFVIII - Quistis

FFIX - Vivi

FFX - Lulu

Actually there is no certain magician in VII and VIII. All of the characters there can use all types of magics but i suppose you really like female characters who uses magics :)Orasion_Seiz

FFVII actually does, well on the first disc at least, Aeris is.
