I would definitely go with the Excalibur. The Masamune is really only great when it's wielded by Sephiroth in my opinion(regardless of its appearance in other FFs). Apart of the whole legend behind the SOLDIER, Sephiroth was the only one in the world to ever master it. In Last Order, he knocked Zack around like he was a ragdoll with only one hand on the hilt. But yes, the Excalibur is the better weapon.
