Question about FFXIII...

 Hey, I was wondering what the advantages are for preordering FFXIII? Does it come with some sort of bundle or anything special? Also, what system should I preorder it on? I have both a PS3 and 360 and I'm leaning towards the PS3 version since that's the system it was originally designed for.

I'm not sure about the pre-orders, but go get the PS3 one if you are using HDTV. Iirc, based on a news, the PS3 version runs at 1080p while the 360 version only at 760p. Other than that, I'm not sure. Iirc also, the audio files of the 360 version is compressed.Fantasy_Gamer

Actually both versions are native to 720p. But the CGI cutscenes are uncompressed on the PS3 version and will be displayed in full 1080p when viewed. Those same cutscenes are 720p on the Xbox 360.

Ok. What I said about video is true. But FG might actually be onto something. I found the source, and now I'm very curious even though I've already pre-order the PS3 version. The Xbox 360 version in 576p? just like the whole Halo 3 situation, someone supposedly counted the pixels on screen a determined the resolution of Final Fantasy XIII for Microsoft's console. We'll find out very soon.

Anyway, I hope I'll like this game better than FFXII. ;) 

The guys at Gamestop (where I pre-ordered it) said it should come with something in-game like an item code... But they weren't exactly sure.. I sure hope it does 

I also pre-ordered it from GameStop and they didn't mention anything about a bonus. I did, however, get 10% off for getting the guide with the game, so that's a little bit of a bonus.

I know I haven't heard anything "official" about any bonuses. I just wanted to make sure I could get a copy.

And definitely get the PS3 version if you can. I just watched Kevin's video review and he said that while it still looks great on the 360, it is definitely better on the PS3.
