PSN Final Fantasy VIII Help plz!

Any one else having a problem with final fantasy VIII freezing constantly on boss fights...

I just bought the official psn copy - this is not a rom-

Ive tried turning up the disk load speed.. and setting the screen to orginal, pretty much anything i can... and it keeps freezing randomly, and only on battles, no where else.

I used to have a rom version on my old psp with cfw and the same problem occured, i figured it was just a rom issue but even with a legit psn version, the problem is still there  

Do u have a psp go or are u using an older psp?

i have a psp slim.  Ill try and redownload it from my ps3 

I heard some people experiencing problems with PSN FF8 on the PSP with certain version of modded PSPs. Just not sure which version.
