There is still no official word if the game and, if ever it is released, the designs will be used for the English version... Nah, but we're sure they will release it for us non-Japs. :)

That is Amano art. If that isn't Final Fantasy art then I don't quite know what is...

I personally like it more since I have always believed that Yoshitaka Amano was a great artist. I like the boxart it reminds me of the pre-FFVII art style of the FF's. :)

well, I only own FFI+II Dawn of Souls when it comes to pre VII, so I don't know what the other cases look like, ergo making it seem like it "isn't FF" to me. Sorry for getting into FF late -.-''

Definitely not one of Amano's best works but I wouldn't classify it as bland either. It's definitely more artistic than some of the recent FF boxarts we've had. My favorite Amano cover-arts were of FFVI and FFIV.

Hmm, I guess "bland"  was the wrong word I was looking for. 

Also, I dislike how they did Terra and Zidane the disrespect of putting them way in the back. :x

I thought they were going to use that Nomura's Dissidia picture...well, Amano style suits as well.

I still prefer the european simple cover :P

I like it. It is a little bland and not Amano's best, but it is one of the greater pieces he's done in a while.
