FFE: Telegrams/Report Thread

Hello FFE members, hope everyone is doing great…

Here at FFE we care about every one of you, we did the unthinkable and collected every one's username, why? To send telegrams again cause the old system is bugged since years, from now on anytime you get a PM saying SQUALL20XX or Fantasy_Gamer mentioned you in a comment this will mean it's a new telegram from FFE union, in sake of letting you know of everything happening in the Final Fantasy World and on what activities happening in the union this will be our new way of telegrams.

For statistical purposes and to always be sure the telegrams are working correctly, let us know you have received the telegram by posting in this thread and/or voting on the polls.

Posted in the poll but sadly FF2 (SNES one with Cecil the Dark Knight) and FF9 were missing :( 

I'm conflicted, cause I love the Steampunk universe of FF7 but I think of FF8 and remember the fight with the giant moustache Cactuar and then I look at FF6 with it being orignally the only FF game with a main female protagonist (esper powers are badass!)

Yeah imo of course. 

The majority said X>XII but of course everyone has his point of view.

Final Fantasy XII was a really good game. When I played it I was really suprise in the changes thag they had made. Mine was a tossup between Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy XIII. Final Fantasy XIII has Lightning which is my favorite protagonist.

SQUALL20XX

FFX was an absolute slump with perpetual linearity which doesn't follow FF tradition. Which by enlarge disappointed many fans who preferred FF at it's core RPG genre traits.DreadDLordD

@SQUALL20XX- I like Final Fantasy VIII better than Final Fantasy VII. I thought the art style and the graphics were better than VII and IX. Squall in my opinion is a better protagonist than cloud. The GF system was awesome and in my opinion better than summon materia that chops down your health when you put it on. Do not get me wrong I loved Final Fantasy VII too It has a better villian than VIII but overall VIII is better.

@D3dr0_0- I also thought the draw system was tedious and yeah I just used my GF's abilities to covert my items to magic which was a simple solution to the tedious draw system.

I voted FFVIII. Still my favorite Final Fantasy after all these years. I loved the characters and story. The graphics still look good for a PS1 game. I really liked the GF and junctioning system. Yeah you had to learn how to use it, but it was an awesome way to buff up your team. And I'm sure my butt was saved a few times by GFs taking hits for me. And Ultimecia was much more difficult than Sephiroth was in VII. She actually took some strategy and planning to defeat, particularly in her final form. 

I haven't played FFXIII yet as I could not stand FFXII's MMO style or characters or look. Don't get me wrong, I like MMOs, but I don't want my regular RPGs to feel like them. I have tried FFXIV and got to say, it's not too bad, though I've only just begun playing. It brought a lot of elements to the MMO genre mainstream that I'd previously only seen in smaller free MMOs, like a real storyline and cutscenes.

I will likely be buying the FFX remake for PS3 when it releases as I think it's actually my second favorite FF. Loved the the battle system and wish more turn based RPGs would do similar. Also with the leveling system I liked how you could virtually build any character however you wanted, so you could make Tidus a mage and Yuna melee if you really wanted to.
