FFE: Suggestion Box - Comments. Recommendations. Ideas. Requests.

Well, I just want to sense the pulse of the union with regard to the current state of Final Fantasy Experience. I know the past few months have been slow for us (but I'm glad we're still one of the few active unions here at Gamespot, including the other two "Experience" unions, SEE and KHE).

However, we do not want to be simply be an active union. We want to be a responsible and enjoyable union, right? So, I want you to tell us what you want to see at FFE. Additions? Changes?

Are you interested to see reviews, or you rather read the official reviews of GS? How about previews? Do you think an officer revamp is needed already? What do you think of our current officers? What features do you want to see? Activities you think that would stir more activiteis around here? How about graphics? Do you want more sigs and tags? In the first place, are you willing to use one?

Suggestions. Recommendations. Constructive criticisms. >>> All are welcome.

I wish i could contribute more but my exptertise are more in the music department.

I was thinking whether we can start a character versus/battle thread that follows a pattern of elimination. It used to be ulilized in gamefaqs and was pretty popular with the gamers in there. Only thing was there battle characters were from universal categories and the winners were decided upon voting.

What do you guys think? :)

Sounds great to me. Anything that can boost the union activity is always welcome.

Ok. I'm going to need help to draw up a character draft that will be playing in the character battle. From the selected group of characters the mod or officer picks 2 characters to do battle for the day. Voting will start as soon as the battle has been declared. This simple process will continue until elimination is down to the last 2 characters in the draft and from there, we will have a winner. The worry will be is how we can tally the votes for each character battle. After working on the character draft, we can begin immediately or even modify some of the rules to make this more interesting and fun to join.

Any suggestions from fellow officers before we implement this plan are all welcome. :)

I just joined myself, and like the union. It would help to have somwhere (and maybe you have it and I missed it) someplace to get to know folks and help out with stuff. I personally can't do anything. Heck I can barely type. But sigs tags would be AWESOME for those of us who don't have a clue. I used to do the battle vote thing on gamefaqs and that was neat. How about we make a thread for every new Final Fantasy game ?

When a game comes out, people will probably want to read about it. So, we make an official thread, complete with reviews from most big sites, our own reviews, infos, screens and videos. It can also serve as a discussion thread.

Yeah. I plan on doing it for XIII and Verus XIII. I already made one for Dissidia.

So is this of the games, I'd like to see a ff8 movie. Or maybe a remake because I wanna hear some voices of that legend.KingOfCrunks

We would love to do it if we hve the means, but unfortunately we do't. :P Seriously, this is not a thread about Final Fantasy. This is more of a union enhancement thread. :P Say your piece about what you think should be done to improve FFE. :)

Maybe, a new banner contests for a monthly something? So, did you delete all the in-active members, It would make us look more 'legit' with the active users of the union. And we can start fresh. Im thinking of contests here. Mhm, something besides that. Being updated seems pretty good. Well, I just dont know, everything seems covered to me. :DKingOfCrunks

We thought of having a guides section, but it is quite hard to make 'coz I am too busy already to do that, but we are very open for contributions.

As for a hurt/healthread, yep, I've thought of it, but i'm not quite sure how to give it a twist. I'm not really the guy with regard to forum games. If you know how to do it, lead the way and i'll help you in doing it. :P

The bugs in the union promotion page is really affecting the unions. I cannot promote members for officer positions coz I cannot find their names in the list! I really wish to have an events coordinator to handle with forum games and events.

We do not cover things like that, but you can post it in the General Social Discussions thread, Non-Final Fantasy Games Thread or even here, but please, do not post HUGE pics. Kindly minimize it or just post a link to the pics. ;)Fantasy_Gamer

:P I was just asking out of curiosity, I know a lot of people here that have FF Trading Arts or other FF-related merchandise, so I thought that perhaps there was already a topic about it.

well, I've done this in other unions...

it's like you have a vote to see which member you want to be in the hotseat. by the end of the week, the user with the most votes gets to be in the hotseat. then you pepper the user with questions. it's kind of off-topic

by the way, do you think we should post the union tags up so people can use them on their signatures?

Well, maybe we can do it, but the OT part should be mixed with questions about Final Fantasy. We do not allow pure OT threads here at FFE except the ones we have now.
