Well, my favorite RPG of all time is Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I would maybe like a FF game to play in first person with a great storyline and cut scenes we all expect from FF.
The Final Fantasy series will always be one of my favorites, but I personally much prefer real-time. Right now I'd say my favorite rpg ever has to be The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. That game is real-time rpg heaven. Just the sheer depth and freedom were awesome, coupled with a beautiful world and the awesome ability to seamlessly switch from 1st to 3rd person. I just realized the other day that I've actually put more time into that game than any other....ever. It just absorbed me. I liked it so much I ran out and got Morrowind, just to get some more Elder Scrolls in me. That game made me both a Bethesda and Elder Scrolls fan for life.
Hmmmm, FF is probably my favorite, though my love for FF has been declining over the month. I wish FF could have that charm it once had, I want FF to feel like FF...
It's REALLY hard to choose between Kingdom Hearts 1, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Final Fantasy X (I also like Final Fantasy XII A LOT, but for some reason it didn't have that addictive feeling that these 3 games had). I guess it's just a tie between these 3 games. If I would change something in the Final Fantasy series, I would change it to real time battle system (AKA the Kingdom Hearts battle system).:D
Hard to say, I'm also a big fan of Dragon Quest, Pokemon and The Elder Scrolls. But since Final Fantasy has them beat in terms of sheer number, I probably enjoyed it more overall.
ff9 is the best rpg ive ever played but one game that i like beside ff is elder scroll 4 which would be awesome if it was built like a ff like having party members and a very strong driven story elder scroll its very easy to get sidetracked i dont even remember what was the last quest was anyways i digress... yeah i would have elder scroll 4 made into a ff style game

I like Final Fantasy just fine. If they added some monster catching element,I would be very happy though. You could catch monsters and put them in tourneys and things like that.
