According to this update, we have "several years" before the new Super Smash Bros game is released. Which gives us plenty of time to do this! :o

What are you hoping to see in the next Smash Bros? A new item, playable character, stage, Pokemon/Assist Trophy, gamemode, whatever. Let your imagination run wild. You can also guess its name if you want.

For them not to listen to the fans' "brilliant" ideas, and instead focus on making a good game. Also, throw Olimar away the same way he throws out his Pikmin. :P

An Excitebike stage could be fun.

It would also be fun if they named it Super Smash Bros. Carnage :P

But I trust them with what they're doing, it's probably going to be fun anyways.

I think that Super Smash Bros. Champions or Super Smash Bros. Clash would be a decent title for the game.

I'm going to start putting together my character roster for the next Smash game. My roster for Brawl was surprisingly accurate, so we'll see how good I do this time around. And remember, Sakurai is going to be developing two Smash games simultaneously, so we have the 3DS and Wii-U versions to think about.

I definitely think that doing something in one game will unlock at least a few things in the other. That's a no-brainer.

The idea they're thinking of is having a custom character creator on the 3DS that you can build up in the more single-player focused 3DS version, then transfer him over to the more multiplayer oriented Wii U version to own all your friends with.

A Super Mario Galaxy stage is a requirement. I can practically guarantee that it'll be in there, too. Probably something along the lines of Delfino Plaza or Poke Floats.

I think it would be cool to have a retro stage based on Super Mario Bros. 3, too. They already did SMB1 and SMB2 in Melee, and we have Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island stages. SMB3 needs some love in the next game, too.

I know it's not going to happen but I would like to see a stage based on sector zero from metroid other M, since we never got to see it in the actual game :P

I would take off tingle, he's annoying and I hate him.  Since they had toon link I guess they could put in Tetra.

I'd say that Midna has a slight chance, but Dark Samus and Tingle have no chance of being playable. Tetra has a shot, though it depends on whether or not regular Link and Zelda are toon-shaded like in Skyward Sword. If they're not, then Tetra (or Toon Zelda) has a good chance of making it.

It'd need to be based on Giant World or Pipe World, no other worlds in SMB3 are unique in Mario's 2-D platforming world. And if you add in 3-D games, only Pipe World is unique. And if you argue that Mario Bros. Arcade counts, it's back to Grass Land. Also, you forgot Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong stages in Brawl.

I thought it sucked how in the Frigate Orpheon stage the Parasite Queen did literally nothing, just stood in the background for decoration. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

They should make a big Metroid Stage. The only big stages were the one in Smash 64 and Brinstar Depths in Melee, and both never returned. Maybe something based off of Sector 2 from Other M.

Also some enemy from Pikmin should be an Assist Trophy, I was thinking the Man-At-Legs boss, or maybe the Water Wraith.

On the subject of big stages you forgot Hyrule Temple and New Pork City. Especially the latter, play it in micro mode with characters on opposite ends of the screen, and you're practically invisible "to the naked eye".

Ha, those stages are almost too big. :P By big I mean "big enough so all four characters can actually maneuver around." Like Spear Pillar size. Honestly, Norfair is composed of four small fall-through platforms and a small solid platform in the middle. It's not enough.

Metroid really is an assist? I suppose my friend did not bring it often enough then :P

It also needs a Donkey Kong Country Returns stage, like Golden Banana Temple (The actual temple, not the wacky thing that made me wonder if I took illicit substances without knowing).  Cranky would be a nice assist or an actual character :D he could fight with his cane :P

I think that New Pork City is too big of a stage! It does not matter which character I use, I always have trouble getting KO's!

The DK stages definitely need to be better in the next game. While 75m was okay, I was not fond of Rumble Falls at all. Perhaps they could make a stage based upon the pirate ships or bee hives in Donkey Kong Country 2? Both of those would be very unique.

I think the issue is that lava's more well-known in Metroid than in other Nintendo series, and they figure that it's the only way to get it in. Never mind that Bowser's Castle is also available...

I hate it, my friend always picks this one and he always hides in that little tight spot, as if he needs it for me not to beat him :roll:

There's a Bullet Bill thing to the right of that area that would shoot at anyone trying to camp down by the Goombas. You could still camp, of course, but Bullet Bill wouldn't make it easy. And a MLG wouldn't even use Pikachu, so it doesn't matter.

I don't really like Pikachu, well, since I never owned a smash game I don't really like anyone besides Luigi because it's the only one I'm kinda good with for some reason.  I might get this one though

It'd probably be a combination of the bumper and the spring. And it can float in midair. Not a bad idea, actually. I can see how that can be annoying. :P

Bullet Bills go through pipes and the like. And they could be those annoying homing bullet bills from world six, the ones that turn around once they pass you to try for another shot.

I like it. Make sure the bricks are breakable (like in Mushroomy Kingdom), and have the item boxes respawn with new items (versus being hit once and being made useless), and make the enemies more powerful than in SMB3, excluding Goombas. Koopas need a bit of beating before being defeated and giving you a Koopa Shell item, Bullet Bills can't be jumped on, and Pirhana Plants eat through Melee attacks (not that that'd help DK, Captain Falcon, or Ganondorf out any). Just ideas, and I doubt it'd make it in like this, but I for one like it.

The only thing that stage needs is the evil sun coming down to attack you at random intervals! :cry: Of course, it is not desert-themed, but I don't think that really matters.
