For some dumb reason I had to re-box a larg box of PS2 games today (they are in my shipping container). And I found ittle after title where I was like, "I don't remember buying that -- cool!"

There was one in particular that I was like -- "Wait, I have that?"

So topic question...

Shocked as in "Wow I have that???"

Would have to be two copies each of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for Xbox and Dreamcast, A few weeks ago a lost an auction for a dreamcast version and much to my surprise I walked over to the wall and BAM there they were.

In terms of "Really? I own that?"

I have a copy of viva pineita for 360, WITH the 69.99 price tag that I paid for it the day it came out...lI leave the price tag as a reminder that some things come at too high a price...

Dead or Alive Extreme Volleyball: I'm embarassed to say I own that game. I only ever played it once (and even then I barely made it 5 mins). I figure if I'm that hard up, that I have to get my fix from virtual females in bikinis, well I've some very serious issues. If I ever started to sell my games, that would probably be the first one to go.

For a crap game that I feel is a total waste of time for any and everyone would have to be Brain Age for the DS. I still have that game, but at least I got it for free when I originally bought the DS Lite. So I guess I'm shocked I still have that game. When it comes to being proud of a certain that that I own it would have to be Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Despite that I find it a much more flawed game that was improved upon later with Aria of Sorrow than most gamers do, I'm still very happy to have the game. Wow! I own this? Sweet! :P A game that I'm somewhat embarrassed that I own, but also is a guilty pleasure game is Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers for the SNES. Regardless of my feelings about this game, I do have many other games that would be sold first if I were to do that.

The pleasant surprises included the Onimusha games (the best three allegedly), the sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi and that Simple 2000 Japanese import game where you play as a 150 foot bikini-clad monster woman.

I've beaten that game, but I forgot I even owned it until you mentioned it. I guess it's not a particularly memorable game.

I looked at my PS2 collection today and was surprised that I own MLB Power Pros. I must not have thought about that game at all since I got it. I'm shocked in a good way that I have Giants Citizen Kabuto for the PS2 and Zack and Wiki for the Wii, seeing as I don't yet have a Wii! :)

I normally don't have this problem with console games, but often with PC. Everytime I rearrange my desk and sift through all that computer junk, I'll find a few things. The other day I found Sim Farm and was like "what?" To this day, I never played it.

It was not the great Sim out there, but better than SimAnt, thats for sure.

'Allegedy,' tbh I enjoyed tactics more than 3, the time travelling made the plot no way near as good as 1 and 2s. Also I didn't know BFM had a sequel?

They renamed all the Simple games (that got released) over here in PAL-land, it sound like the one you got was made for giantessophiliacs buddy :P

I bought EA Replay (PSP) twice becuase I didn't remember that I already owned it. So that was a "wait, I have this?" moment. But not necessarily a pleasant surprise.

... that Simple 2000 Japanese import game where you play as a 150 foot bikini-clad monster woman.

Yeah, I'd like to have that one!

I said "allegedly" because I have not played any of them. I bought the ones that the creator of the games (Inafune) said he was most proud of.

Yeah, a lot of people missed Masashi: Samuarai Legend. It was released in 2005.

The game I was talking about I imported from Japan. It is called (in english) Simple 2000 Series #50 - The Daibijin. Here is some footage.

I honestly have no idea where it came from. I suspect it might have been my father's and got mixed up when I moved out all those years ago.

Lol. I played Sim Ant on the SNES with the mouse. I still remember the odd squeaky sound your ant would make when it moved. That's not what I'm shocked to own, but rather, shocked I even played.

You know I just had one of those "Whoa, I own that!?" momemnts just now.

I received some Japanese import games in the mail the other day and I was looking them up on GS so I could add them to my collection. One of the games is "Rebus", which I bought because it's a strategy RPG by Atlus. I couldn't find it on the site, so after doing some research I found out it was released outside of Japan as Kartia: The Word of Fate (PS). Which is awesome, because that one's been on my want list for quite some time now! So, my first though was "Oh cool, I own that!". Of course it's an RPG in Japanese, and I still don't have a working knowledge of that language... but I'll get there eventually. :P

Omg... That, "Quick draw a PIEEEE!!!" shall haunt my dreams. You have a bizarrely varied and cool choice in games though I must say :)

Funny you should say that, I just found out Final Fantasy Adventure was released here in the EU as Mystic Quest (not to be confused with the SNES title Mystic Quest, or Final Fantasy Mystic Quest... Unles they are the same thing, see I've already managed to confuse myself...) Didn't make me think "Wow I own that" as much as "Damn I'd much prefer the PAL release" :D

HA HA HA HA! *wipes a tear* I love Japan. I'm so going to import this and infect all my friends.

And another game I'm shocked to own is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. What a terrible, horrible, frutrating game that had an equally terrible ending.
