Will text formatting get better?

Quoting is an absolute nightmare on this site. Whenever you quote one post it does a cascade of all the quotes that quote has quoted.

Multi-quoting is terrible. Why can't we do like vbulletin and simply be able to easily copy/paste quote instead of having that weird grey box that needs to be moved up or down. Often times clicking below that quote box is impossible and you have to move it up to free a line and be able to write.

There is no multi-quote feature either.

Thanks for your suggestions! We are currently working on improving our video player, we recently released html5 support and migrating all of our sites to SSL. Unfortunately that means that forum comments are not high on our list at this time. We'll keep these on our list of things to investigate when we start making improvements!

Also add to the list that when you are on mobile and edit a post you did on desktop that had a quote box, mobile version just makes it disappear.

You guys should really focus on the quoting system, people use it far more than videos.

forum usability will probably never be high on their agenda. my guess is they're looking to implement ssl because it's an seo ranking factor and they've been slipping off page one for a lot of gaming related searches lately and html5 video because flash is all but extinct and videos are their forced ad delivery systems.

my guess, from how slow they've been to address any of the site issues users have been complaining about since the update, is that they only have a small team of front end developers who are spread across multiple sites and are focused more on content updates than technical issues.

but you're right the text editor is full of bugs that you have to hack around to get a post in the style you want and the lack of features on the mobile site is pretty shameful
