Why can't I tag threads anymore?

I noticed this a few weeks ago but never got around to reporting it, I can however tag messages before I submit them on a thread just not the thread itself.

I imagine this has something to do with the site's changes in the year. I'm not too sure myself about what is going on. Like users and the staff have been saying the site is going through changes this year so stuff like tags will probably be added.

I expect that's an oversight. Any code that used to surface the tags has also been removed.
