Why do you need to have 10 characters in the topic title before you can post a thread?

some topics do just fine with a simple one word title, happened alot on the old GS.

I agree. 5 characters should be sufficient enough for a character minimum limit. While it's not too hard to come up with 10 characters, it's just not necessary in some cases.

Why is that a big deal? It's probably to stop waves of "Lol!" and "Urgh" threads and to give people a good idea of the thread they're entering (which is sort of the point of a title)
