Hi. I'm having problems uploading a video. The video uploads succesfully, but usually when I upload a video, I get a message saying it exported successfuly. Right now, I'm just not getting anything, and all I see in the Videos section is a title and a description, no video. What could the problem be?

gmax here - I've edited the topic title. It was "Video won't export"

The background user video encoding gizmo might have crashed - the most recent user video I see is from Dec 8. There are usually at least a few every day, so something has probably gone wrong. I'll probably try an upload later to see what happens. Even on a good day it can take a while for an encode, and even when they work I don't always get the PM saying it finished. Maybe the staff will be able to give it a kick when they come back on Monday.

Okay, thanks for the info. It's not the first time the video uploader has had glitches anyway...

I think user video processing must still be down. I tried an upload recently and as near as I can tell it never processed. I suppose I'll go ahead and pin this to help give it more visibility and see if that helps, and I'll edit the title for clarity.

I really appreciate the help, so thanks. I looked at the videos section and the last video was uploaded in 12th December. Hoping they'll fix it soon.

Dec 12? The last one I saw was Dec 8 (which is labeled as 12/08/10 here). Either way, it has evidently been a while since a user video has been successfully processed and linked up on the site. Maybe with some luck they will be able to fix it soon.

Hope they will fix this soon - I tried to upload a gameplay video for Mass Effect 2, and the result is as already posted.

Actually, the video uploader is working again. I checked the User Videos section and a video was uploaded today. I alsotried to upload a video and it worked, so they've obviously fixed it. :)

All the videos I uploaded that were waiting for the encoding process just disappeared! And I can't upload them again (or anything else for that matter)!

That sucks. My video that was waiting to be encoded disappeared as well. The first time, the re-upload didn't work. However, I tried it again and it worked.

I wish they could re-insert the software code for the Uploader that was present in 2009 - that code worked.
