Hello Mods, Admins & fellow G'Spotters,

My suggestion is to move away from including XBLA, WiiVC, and PSN download exclusive games from just the system section and to create a new classification within the collections section(I checked the past few pages and didn't see anything, so I hope that I'm not treading on old territory). I suggest this based on a couple of reasons.

I see that in the reviews section that the system that a game is based on is selectable, with the different download networks having a separate classification. I don't know how the site is programmed to make this happen, but with this being done for the reviews pages, I would like to think that adding a new classification overall wouldn't be that difficult.

Another thing that this would allow is to sort your collection and get a more accurate look at the data, especially for those of us that are looking to do a collection count of physical titles owned. Right now, I know that I disclude all of my downloaded titles from this site's collection page, because I don't have to have a clean way to break them out from the disc/carts that I bought without going into the list or keeping a manual running tally of the collection. I like the collection feature here as a way to document what I have, but right now as things stand, this is a hinderance to full inclusion for me.

I know that this isn't a critical upgrade, but I think that this enhancement is something that at the end of the day wouldn't be too hard to enact (especially if it was done now & carried forward) then to try and do when too many games have built up into these classifications, and would only add a positive enhancement.

I completely agree with this idea and think it would add another layer of cool functionarlity to GameSpot. One of the prime reasons I like GameSpot is because I have my entire collection housed here. So although a small upgrade, this would be a nice one to make the list more accurate and improved. I hope you guys keep looking at ways to upgrade the collection and other community features, they really are the backbone of the site. Take care!

Don't be surprised if something like that is implemented over time. We are always looking for smart ways to differentiate retail games from aracade or downloadable games on the same system.

If there was a way to differentiate that would be awesome. We collectors are pretty serious about keeping our inventories in order (unsurprisingly).

I also agree with this suggestion. The collection feature is what brought me to GameSpot, so enhancements to this feature are something I would greatly appreciate.

That's a great idea. It would make it a lot easier to catalog your games and compare them to what's on your shelf.

I support this as well. Any enhancements to the games list that allow for better classification is good by me.

Fully Agree, There should be a difference between a game I can have on my shelf and one that solely exists with an HDD

I think this is a great idea and I would love to see this implemented.
