Because of the high number of free games on the Web, GameSpot restricts Web/Online-Only games to those that offer pay-to-play options. While we may decide to expand our coverage to include ALL games eventually, GameSpot's main focus is retail-released and digitally distributed games. GameSpot reserves the discretionary right to not create a game space for any reason.

Sorry if I'm wrong but as I see this game is 'not' web/online-only game. This game is a free download, but I can find it's retail version in a shop near me. They provide box version for those who are not able to download that game (big file). I would say ok, but this is the first fps-shooter game in India so I think It should have a gamespot page. You have the right not to create game space, so, do what you think is right. And as I see most of their games do have gamespot page: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/company/index.php?company=83247 "and digitally distributed games" This game IS a digitally distributed games Please, forgive me if I am being harsh. Sorry. Just do what is right. Thanks

Also, is GameSpot ever going to incorporate the PSOne Cla-ssics game downloads to have their own game pages?I find it unusual that there isn't considering the amount of straight-forward ports (just like the PSOne Cla-ssics) that have their own game pages for other download services like Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, Virtual Console, and iTunes Game Apps. Does GameSpot not consider these games?

ME2 overlord we already have: http://www.gamespot.com/996520

http://www.gamespot.com/998025

One current problem needs to be fixed first---ability to add "other versions" of games into a collection. Once that is done then we would be able to add the backlog as "another release" because they don't qualify for their own PID since there are no changes being made to the original game

Thanks, Dracula! Here are some more boxshots.

Prince of Persia (Mac) -- boxshot

A Vampyre Story (Mac) -- boxshot

Nanosaur 2: Hatchling (Mac) -- boxshot

Otto Matic (Mac) -- boxshot

Rune (Mac) -- boxshot

Asteroids (Mac) -- boxshot

Nightfall (Mac) -- boxshot

These boxshots are already on GameSpot for the PC version, but they'll work for the Mac version too, either because the media is PC/Mac hybrid or the image is not platform specific:

Myst III: Exile (Mac) -- boxshot
(The image currently on the page is not a U.S. distribution.)

Tales of Monkey Island (Mac) -- boxshot

Machinarium (Mac) -- boxshot

I own a game that is not listed in the database, only the NES version is listed

Title: The Legend Of Prince Valiant Daavpuke

I found it at GameFAQs. That is why I love their search engine! Anyway, it appears the name you are searching is the UK name and we default to the US name (Kingdom Crusade). If you are from the UK you will see the proper name when you click this link.

I'm very confused. As there is no mention of Kingdom Crusade in my game and every screen has Prince Valiant in it, but otherwise it is an identical game, just slightly altered.

I found this for Kingdom Crusade. Also, Wiki states this:

Kingdom Crusade (known as The Legend of Prince Valiant in Europe) is a Game Boy strategy game that takes places during a hypothetical apocalyptic battle between a dark, evil army and a light, good army. Players can take either side and both kingdom's units are of equal strength to each other. Each player must either destroy all of the opponent's units or capture all the castles in order to win the game and to defeat his or her opponent.

Quake II and Quake III Arena appear to be missing from the listing for PC Game Reviews. They are missing from these pages, this one and this one, respectively.

The first Diablo is also missing, specifically from this page.

Close Combat: A Bridge Too Far is also missing from this page.

I actually found all of those reviews Gelugon_baat, although Diablo was actually on page 7 (in the link, page=6). I'm not sure what happened - I sort of wish you had a screen shot. Sorting by date is sometimes treacherous, and since I didn't know any of the dates, I searched first sorting by title. Once I found the game and its review post date, I looked through your links and found all of the reviews. Hopefully it straightens out for you. If it keeps up, maybe a separate thread would be a good idea.

Thanks! http://www.gamespot.com/998142

Thanks a lot. And I found a boxshot of the game on moddb. Well, I think its a bit old cuz the game is released and the box says "RP - Rating Pending". But its better than nothing. http://i50.tinypic.com/ay3f2u.jpg Some Screen Shots: http://i47.tinypic.com/2r60j9s.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/vfxqxl.jpg EDIT: I just noticed that the game is released on June 23, 2010. I'm extremely sorry... for providing wrong release date. I think it was the private beta of that game that confused me. It is in their moddb game page and official website. Wrong release dates are a big deal, I know so I apologize again. Sorry. :(

Yeah, any box shot or even a logo is better than a blank space. Box shot uploaded. I don't have the tools to add screens but the folks over at gsfiles @ gamespot.com do.

I can't fix those problems. Like gmax said, if the problem persists for you please make a new thread with screens. Thanks.

**************************************

Some may not know about this game, but it is called "Touhou Koumakyou: the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil."(Click for a link to Wikipedia) It is a vertical scrolling shooter that is quite well known in Japan and to Americans who play games like this a lot. It is part of the "Touhou Project" series where the company "Team Shangai Alice" is making a series of these games that are all part of the Touhou storyline.

***********

Normally, I would dismiss this, but it seems that Gamespot, does, indeed, have some Touhou PC games up. Go to this link:

http://www.gamespot.com/search.html?qs=touhou&om_act=convert&om_clk=search

And look at the top of the first page and the two games in the second page. All of those PC games are quite well known among Touhou fans such as myself, and are all listed on the Wikipedia page here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touhou_Project#Windows_games

However, by far "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil." is the most well known as it is the first Touhou game on PC. (Also, the crazy "Ran Ran Ruu"video/meme is based on a song in the game, click for a link)

Hi!

There is a game on Steam that's not here.

"The Great Art Race" it also goes under the name "Vermeer 2"

I think The Great Art Race is the english version and Vermeer 2 the german.

Release Date: September 10, 2004

It says on IGN that The great Art Race was cancelled but that is the one on Steam.

You can find info and gameart here:

I couldn't find a release date on steam so for that version I just listed as 2010. UK release has the correct date and box shot. http://www.gamespot.com/998182
