Hello, I would like to report a bug that occurs in the comments section of articles. For some reason some of my posts today have unexpectedly disappeared. The first time it occured I had assume it to be a error on my part, I thought I simply forgot to press 'Post', however tje second time it became clear. This may just be some kind of server error as I can see replies to my post, but the replies reference a post that isn't visible client-side.

@genji_shimada: Can you send me a link to the articles/forums that you're referring to?

@angerawr:

Sure, I'll try and find them.

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/black-panthers-post-credits-scenes-explained-spoil/1100-6456700/ On this article I posted the same thing as the first poster.

https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-one-and-pcs-sea-of-thieves-has-huge-potential/1100-6456726/ On this article I commented that Sea of Thieves will be the next PUBG/Fortnite. You can still see the people that replied to me as well.

@angerawr: Question. Is there a reason why this article's comment isn't showing up at all?

@davillain-: We disable comments on articles where we expect comment threads to be extremely toxic. If you're interested in discussing politics, we have this forum: https://www.gamespot.com/forums/political-gamers-909409192/

I was just going to make a thread about this. Glad I decided to read this thread. Can I just say that I think it's a horrible practice to not allow your readers to partake in discussions on articles? Yes, I understand that certain subjects can yield toxic replies, but... that's why you have a moderation team. It's not wise to silence competent and level-headed readers because of the loud obnoxious ones.

I have a bug that automatically gives me an upvote by itself when I post in the comment section. Can you fix it, please?

@angerawr: It happens when I post a comment and the other posters can see it too.

@angerawr: That auto upvote thing happened again when I post in a comment section.

(Not directing this at you, as you're likely just stating the policy.)

i.e. We want to keep forcing political/ideological nonsense into our game site and (like most who think like such) we can't have the unwashed, trivializing our rants by pointing out that they have no place here, or *gasp* openly questioning the views we're pushing. (*see disagreement... or, as a braindead believer, "toxicity" and "hate")

Also.. If you guys are so worried about people discussing politics in the comments of articles, then maybe STOP ****ing forcing politics and ideology into the articles in the first place! (same goes for clickbait that is nothing but ideological rantings!)
