Given how only the recent news articles are showing their comment count indicators at 0, it is clearly a problem on GS side and not on the client side.
Livefyre appears to be broken on GS atm - whether that's a GS or Livefyre problem I cannot be certain. Regardless, until it's fixed no one can comment on articles, and I have no idea how long that will take - could be a day, could be a week. I imagine it'll be quite a high priority to get sorted out though at least.
