Changing Profile Picture

I can't change my profile image (the 80x80 one) i think its called my avatar. I go to browse and i select the file i want to change it to. (It's a JPEG 7.5KB picture with 80x80 dimensions) and then go to upload. Then i click on apply changes. I then go to my profile and refresh it, and the screen is exactly the same. My picture hasn't changed even though i've uploaded it. HELP ME :D
