Cannot upload images or change profile pic

When I try to edit my profile avatar or image, or upload photos, the links to add images opens a to a page with the Gamespot header, but a totally black backround. If I try to paste an image from either my local drive or online image storage this page does not open an upload location selector or accept the paste for either the image or the "img" image location "endimg" BBCode. It also does not accept < aref> web references.

I have tried many different ways to change my profile pic which is currently the blank default, or a preferred image file (usually JPG, regardless of the image location.

FYI, OS is Windows 8.1 Desktop Mode using Internet Explorer 11 Desktop Mode.

Good example: Blank default Avatar image which I cannot change1 I also tired to change my Profile name to Auldjohn MasterSage unsuccessfully. Basically, I cannot customize my Profile at present. Bummer.

I suffer from the same problem whenever I click the "img" button. all I get is a black screen with the gamespot heading.

Exactly the same problem here when using IE 11.
