I have noticed the same issue: all of my user images have disappeared, and some user avatars are invisible as well (it seems isolated to users with odd-colored user names).
If it helps, I'm using Firefox 6.0 with AdBlock Plus enabled.
Mine are gone. To anyone that does not seem to be having this problem, try dumping your browser cache; this problem may likely occur for you. (Of course, you are effectively giving yourself trouble if you do this. :P)

(Of course, you are effectively giving yourself trouble if you do this. :P)Gelugon_baatThat's why I mentioned that some users might prefer to not clear their cache, and just let their browser gloss over it a little. For users so inclined, it might be possible to set up an alternate browser profile (which should set up a new, separate, empty cache) to see if they are affected; in theory that could allow the "regular" cache of the main browser profile to be retained. Users who are not so inclined just shouldn't worry about it. :P It might be interesting to know about users who are able to see images from the ui## servers and are sure they are not from browser caches. As far as I can tell the problem is unchanged since I started this thread, and I was noticing it for a few hours before that. The connection attempts I make from here are definitely getting refused, and connection attempts I initiate from other places are also failing; I expected this would be a widespread but (hopefully) short term event. Now I'm wondering...
My images are gone and my user icon disappeared. I tried hosting my icon on a different server and using the URL in settings, but it doesn't take. All of the fields in the "images" tab of settings are blank and won't take any changes.....
I'm using Chrome on a Mac. I'll try a different browser, but I've had these issues before and they spanned all browsers.
I'm having the same problem too.
My user images and avatar aren't showing. (ui##.gamespot.com)
However, my about me image is still showing. (userimage.gamespot.com)
I can confirm that it's browser-independent (the problem persists on IE 9, Firefox 6 and Chrome), and that it's independent of AdBlock (which I don't have on Chrome or IE).
Also, again, the avatro problem seems isolated to mod- and admin-level users. Missing avatars include JodyR, DarthKaiser, nocoolnamejim, and the guy who posted just above DarthKaiser on pg 1 of this thread.
I hope that helps narrow it down.
I've been experiencing the same problem. I can see my avy and sig, but none of my images uploaded here nor the images of other people are working to me. I usually use Mozilla Firefox 5, but I tried it on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome too and all of them had the same problem. :(
any image that has been uploaded through gamespot i can't see or use. (like banners, blog images, gamespot sigs. and some peoples avays):|
I have the same issue. The 8 pics at the bottom of the page are not viewable. Nor can I see some my friends avatars. las t weekenf theer was no right side panel as an issue. This weekend something diffrent. hope this does not become a habit. Still waiting to see my achievements from Steam and PSN again.
It definitely seems to be the images stored at ui##.gamespot.com. My images from that path still aren't working.
I just repathed my avatar to userimage.gamespot.com and it works now.
I was wondering if this might be an internal network/external network thing because Drac said he could see them too, but I wasn't sure. I would not expect this to get resolved until at least early next week. Hopefully it will be an easy fix.Yeah I just logged out of the VPN and now I see random missing sigs and avatars.gmax
I still have the same issue with no pics. The siga and avatars are now being affected by some. This site needs to do better maintenance.GS shopuld issue a bulletin regarding the issue and what is being done about it.It should be in out inboxs. While I appreciate what the Admin and Mods do here, communication need to be better.I used to work in Customer Service so I know a little about it.
Take it easy. No need to get all worked up and then moderated over a bug.Why are the gamers(users f ths site) concerns faling on deaf ears. It wednesday, haven't the engineers returned back to work yet from an obviously VERY LONG WEEKEND?Your response to the gamers is totally pathetic as actions speak louder than words!

The issue seems to be spreading to "regular" users: sonicare's avatar has now disappeared as well (and it has been visible up until today). I'm hoping this helps you track the problem (I did QA work for a software firm, so bug reporting is sort of 2nd nature now)... I'm really not trying to be annoying.
EDIT: Forgot to add that I haven't cleared my browser cache since my first post. Again, just trying to help.
