BUG: Trouble voting in Best of 2008.(read first post please)

Windows XP and IE 7.05730.13

I got as far as the co-op multiplayer voting screen. When I click to vote, it flashes briefly as if it were going to register the vote, but then never shows the results. One more click gives me a 404 page.

I am also having trouble with voting. Like you, I have voted for most of the special achievement awards, but it seems any other award after that is not working. I click on vote, and it kind of refreshes the page, and then if I click on vote again, I get a nice little 404 error :( Caddy06_88

Edit: Forgot to add that I'm using Vista and I tried FF 3 and Google Chrome.

IE7 let me go through the whole thing without any major issues. I did get the reroute to the homepage a couple of times but was able to vote on everything. Fire Fox doesn't seem to like it very much as every time, I would get redirected.

Edit: Upon going back to check to see if everything was voted for, I noticed that I was unable to vote for funniest game and every subsequent game. It just fades in and out then if I click on a game to vote for, it goes to the 404 error page. That is very disconcerting.

I use Windows XP Service Pack 2

I tried it on Internet Explorer 9, Firefox 3, Google Chrome, and my iPod Touch.

same results >_< ... it redirects.

Yesterday,I haven't experimented any sort of bugs when voting in the most varied categories.However,today my votes hasn't been updated and every time that I vote it gives me the 404 Page not found error.

I am using FF and Windows XP.I have also deleted my cookies.

I've made a couple of tweaks that should hopefully clear up the issues with redirecting to the front page, with another fix that will go live Monday morning to address the 404 errors.

In the meantime, please remember to let the pages load completely before voting; these pages are processing enormous amounts of data and casting a vote before all of this data is loaded could lead to unexpected results (i.e. 404 pages).

So I went through the Best of 2008 a few times in different days due to the issues. Each time I go through them it gives me the option to vote again and it doesn't show the percentages until I vote. Do that mean it's counting my votes as new votes?

I will go through it again just incase so I hope I'll get the emblem. There should be a thread for all the people who voted or attempted to but couldn't because of the issues, so they'll get their emblem.

It was working for me up until about the Game of the Year section and now its not posing and snowing results correctly for any of the sections. Are we going to have to revote on things we already voted, will we still get our Best of 2008 insigna like we did for 2007?

Problems still aren't fixed. I still can't vote for funniest game and Best Implementation of User-Generated Content and many of the votes I had previously cast are no longer remembered. It forgot ALL my votes in every Dubious Honor's category. Something tells me I won't be getting my emblem this year....

Edit: I still can not vote for best driving, best fighting, best role-playing, and best puzzle games as well. I think I'm on my fourth time voting and this thing still isn't fixed.

had the same problem, voted, but kind of refreshed and didnt take the vote. voted a little bit ago, and it worked this time, but when i went back to check after i finished voting they all said click to vote. so my votes didnt save. some did, but most didnt.

Went to check out the feature and it assumes I did not vote for anything! I voted on everything but now it has been reset. Bah. I recall having this problem last year too. :(Thorpe89

May I ask when do we get the emblems for voting? I'd really like to know.

There are times when I click on one of the categories and it appears that I've already voted, shown by the fact that they put percentages. But then at other times I come back to find the "vote for this game" tab. So it's as though my vote doesn't register. Any word on this?

I am getting several errors: 1) Votes simply not recording, the page flickers like it is refreshing but it just has the button "Vote for this game" again 2) Votes recording but when I go back to the page at a later point, they are not recorded 3) I am being logged out when I go through the categories. I am prompted to log back in many, many times I just thought I would bring this to your attention Thanks!DouglasBuffone
