Where does my blog go if I don't assign a forum for it to go into?
Where do I find other blogs which are posted?
Also, is there a way to see recently posted user reviews?
@jackamomo: There isn't a public feed for user blogs. However if you follow a user you will get a notification when they post a new blog or review, and it'll show up on the feed on your user page, as well as their profile feed.
User reviews also show up on the games page under the review tab.
@zanelli: I see.
So there's no way to see when someone's posted a blog unless you follow the person who posts the blog.
I would like it if there was a way to see newly published blogs of people who you do not follow.
Likewise game reviews.
That is a feature suggestion.
Cheers.

Under the old website layout there used to be a sidebar on the right side or maybe a tab that would show current Soapbox posts (kind of think of them as being a blog that you decided to publish on todays layout). You'd mark your blog as "Soapbox" so it would pop up on the soapbox sidebar/tab.
Basically, you'd write a blog, tag it as "Soapbox" and it would show up in the sidebar or under the menu tab from the main page on gamespot.
While it's not exactly what you're asking for, but something that sort of resembled what you're looking for did exist in the past, but it was exclusive to "Soapbox" marked blogs. All other blogs, just like how it works today, only showed up in your own profile page for anyone that you were following.
@neatfeatguy: Yep the Soapbox was a community feature that was lost in the redesign. I think it was going to be brought back with the Community Hub, but nothing really happened with that.
You're welcome to request the feature be brought back in the Bug Reporting & Feedback forum. As just about everything community related is handled by the moderation team, it would probably have to be green-lit by staff to implement it and by the community team to put the time in to maintain it.
@zanelli: well practically every other post of mine is a soapbox rant so that would suit me.
put the time in to maintain it
I'm not sure I want to be responsible for giving people more work. :/
Surely, adding a blog feed menu item is a one time job and moderation would be the same amount as if it were tagged a blog like it is now...?
