I used to enjoy For Honor, then the season ended and two new characters were added to the game. These two new characters are ridicoulously OP. The centurions sheer amount of stuns and unblockables is awful, and the shinobi with his long range grapples and attacks make him able to remain a safe distance away and pick players apart. In my experience now that both characters have been officially released to the public to play with, their are at least three of the characters in every game. And these players DO NOT play fair. If you're getting teamed up on by the new characters, unless your team arrives quickly, you are dead. This makes players trying to learn a new character extremely painful as it is the hardest thing with you constantly getting ganked.
However the DLC characters are not entirely to blame for the decline of the game, its Ubisoft. They're unable to produce a good matchmaking system which means that low level players have a fairly high chance of being put up against players many reputations higher. Also the servers are poor, being disconnected from the match every 1 in 4 games. And if you're not being disconnected, the game is syncing after a player has left the match because he can't catch a break. This makes for an gaming experience that overall isn't very enjoyable.
In conclusion, unless you've been playing the game for a while and have gotten good with a certain character, don't buy this game.
