As I wait for WAR

Waiting for Warhammer AOR is now a hobby of mine. I first got interested in the about 2 years ago and, like many others, have felt teased by the release date being pushed back so constantly. However, I can wait for the awesomeness to come.

In the meantime, I am forced to find distraction elsewhere. I've been pretty desperately looking for something to occupy my time, and many of my options are becoming up short. Though I have an extensive library of games, I find that I have beaten many of them to death. Other games I hold sacred for their playability so I tend not to overplay them. I was also tempted to go back to Voldemort, but I promised myself I wouldn't.

So, I see FLYff pop up on the flash ad on the side of my screen one day, and decided that I would give it a shot. It's free, after all. And that's one great part of the game. It is free.

I found it to be enjoyable for the most part. Character creation was rather simple, the leveling system was rather simple, there's a gradual dip into the quests, combos are pretty neat, and the classes are all unique.

The problem I had, and that would lead to my discontinuation of my account, was the sever LAAAAAAAAAAGGGGG. I tried all the servers, and not once found them lag free. It was terrible. I would just start to enjoy myself when the game would freeze forever, and I would have to force quit. I have read in other reviews that many others had the same problem.

The graphics are cute and all the monsters are as cartoonish as the players. It's an interesting little world and a good distraction. However, it was not a cure for my illness in waiting for WAR. I recommend trying it for a good time or just to see what it's like and settle your curiosity. Is it addicting and groundbreaking, no. But fair enough, as I have said, it's free.
