It took me a long time to get around ot trying a turn-based stratgey game. When I finally gave Advance Wars a fair shake, I turned out oto be one of the best strategy games I have ever played. Reading comparisons between that title and the Fire Emblem series, I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical that it could live up to that game, but it has and in some ways surpassed it. While it doesn't quite live up to the pure depth of strategy found in the Advance Wars games, it does a fantasticjob of combining two of my favorite genres--rpgs and strategy games. The story elements of this game are really great, suprassing most straight up rpgs. Adding to that what I consider really great game-play and what you have is one great game. Highly recommended to anyone who likes either strategy games or rpgs, and certainly an absolute must play for any srpg fan.
