Satisfying. That's about the best one-word summary I can come up with for this text heavy, yet highly immersive strategy rpg. What it lacks in the graphics department, it more than makes up for in gameplay. Though I will say, unless you're a strategy rpg fan, you might want to rent this one first. If you do like them, however, you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. I say that simply because IT IS text heavy and the battles can get increasingly frustrating on the higher difficulty settings. The characters are all extremely well conceived... even the lesser ones that come into play later on. Everyone has a solid background story and personality, which really helps in the plot's overall development. The main protagonist, Ike, in particular, is very well written. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the stereotypical rpg hero as of late. They're either very emo, or they are all-but mute. Well, Ike's character is a breath of fresh air. That is all I have to say about this one.
