Capcom's classic beat-'em-up is now on the VC and it's just as fun as it ever was, even with it's shortcomings.

User Rating: 7.8 | Final Fight SNES
Final Fight hit the arcade scene in the early 90s and soon made it's way to the SNES, cutting own a few parts of the game, including one of the playable characters. Even so, it remained a fun game . Now on the VC, Final Fight has held up well. The graphics and audio are only OK by the SNES standards, but the gameplay stays true to classic beat-'em-up action. The crime-infested Metro City needs protection (and the return of the mayor's daughter) and it's up to kickboxer Cody and Mayor Haggar to clean up the streets. You'll be using simple combos and jump attacks to fight crime (which is very fun and addicting) and picking up some weapons and food along the way. The game retains a good challenge, some parts can be pretty tough and the bosses can be downright horrible to beat. You'll be replaying levels many times, but that is what makes the game last long.

The game REALLY could have used a co-op mode. which was one thing cut from the arcade version, and having only two playable characters is just disappointing. With that said, the game is still fun and is a fine game for your virtual collection.
