How bad could it possibly be? Well...

User Rating: 8 | Final Fight: Streetwise PS2

In 2014, Final Fight was one of my favorite video game franchises, especially because you can move in three dimensions and the enemies have health meters (I especially liked beat-'em-ups where both of those things exist). I never knew the franchise when Final Fight: Streetwise came out, therefore I missed out on that game when it was new. I was too young to play it anyway, as I was born five years before the game released. I may have spoiled some of the game for myself by watching online walkthroughs of it. On Christmas last year, I got the game as a present. Anyway, here's what I think:

Gameplay - 9/10

I actually had fun playing this game. The fighting system was decent, and the controls were good, despite there being no jump button. The boss battles are difficult, too, as some of them require some strategies.

Graphics - 7/10

In my opinion, the graphics are pretty decent, especially the characters' facial animations.

Sound - 8/10

The music was actually good, and it even included remixes of songs from the original game. You even get to switch between songs during gameplay! The voice acting, while vulgar, is fitting for each situation.

Story - 7/10

I actually find the game's story interesting, especially the parts where people get high on the glow drug.

Replay value - 9/10

Due to the difficulty at some parts, the overall gameplay, and the unlockable content, including a port of the original Final Fight (yes, it does run at a low framerate and uses controls that I'm not used to) I'm sure some people enjoy it.

In conclusion, I think the game is actually pretty good. Thank you for reading my review.
