This was a fun game. I was a big FF II on SNES fan, so it was right up my alley. Bought, likely keep.

First of all, yeah, it's a little pricy. I found it for under 25, so I bit. I instantly enjoyed it as it was like an updated version of II but with new graphics, and the original story. I'd recommend this to any FF fan, especially if you were a fan pre-VII, and maybe even post. Now, yo do have to deal with the annoying random attack feature that can get real old real quick, but the more you battle the better you get.
There is also a hudge new section that will easy take a good chunk of Time, and it's considerably different than the actual game. Sadly, all the awesome items you get are useless, because this new are is only attainable at the very last stage. I didn't opt to go through it, but I might go back someday.
Another thing I really enjoyed was how much extra stuff is unlocked when you beat it. You get the art designs, as well as a music player for fans of the music, like myself, that allows you to listen to any piece of music in the game at the push of a button. Very cool.
This is a great game to play while doing something like watching TV, etc. It doesn't take your full attention, which can be nice.
All in all, I really enjoyed this, and I beg to the gods they extend this anniversary addition to IV, because I almost want the kiddy portable device, (the DS), just to play it. So, square, I bought I & II, I'll buy III & IV if your port them.
