Best MMORPG ever.

User Rating: 10 | Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn PC
I bought GTAV and it is still sealed. Every time I am about to unseal GTAV and start my PS3, I turned on my PC to play FFXIV instead. And I have been a GTA fan.

FFXIV is the best MMORPG ever. None of the others has a main storyline nearly as captivating as this game. Its main quest rivals even the best single player classics such as Dragon Age and Baldur's Gate, and surpasses Skyrim or any of the ES series, let alone MMOs. A witty combination of classic MMO elements and the best of JRPGs. The aesthetic aspect of the graphics simply crushes any other MMORPGs to date.

The gaming system is no mean feat either. With so much to do in the game, grinding and questing are only among the options you can do in the game, although you will want to finish the main quest first, not only because it leads to natural progression of your character, but that it is so alluring that it is hard to stop going one more step to see what happens next, Crafting and gathering are much more fun with the system it has. With the upcoming housing system, it will easily surpass UO in terms of contents and depth, and UO (and probably EQ) was the game which started it all.

When you want to take a rest from the at times suffocating main quest line (as it is so good especially compared with any other MMOs, which usually have almost non existent story in comparison), you may choose to rest - but not in the usual way, i.e. turning off your computer or log out. You can take a stroll in the beautiful scenery with your favorite ride, do some fishing or gathering, and not feel bored by them. This game should make stateside developers rethink about the importance of aesthetics rather than just the technical aspects.

This is not just another MMO. This is the one to play if you can only play one computer/console RPG in your life, MMO or not. This, ladies and gentlemen, is gaming at its best.
