Sigh......

So my initial review of the game was premature. Although i loved the game till level 50 the moment i hit 50 the game was over for me. Like so many games before FFXIV it sadly has a boring end game. The moment i hit 50 me and friend went and speed ran CM to get stones, at this moment it hit me, this is all im going to be fucking doing in order to get to the hard mode bosses. After i get to the hard mode all i will be doing is grinding them. Honestly wtf? After a few days after 50 i quit playing, with no PVP, the game offered very little to me at the end game. I know PVP is supposed to come out soon but they have pushed it back. Even the friends that came over from GW2 all realized the inevitable grind and agreed that it was just boring. Basically playing it till 50 was awesome with one character, then its the same shit every single day. Below you can see my initial review which at the time i had not hit 50 and i loved the game i still agree with what i wrote but it not enough to keep me interested in the game.

Alright so I've seen a lot of negative reviews for this game from the first week with people just bashing the game for no reason, some for idiotic reasons. Then I have seen some reviews that just rave the game and give it a 10 to counter the 1 and 2s some people have given the game. So I'm gonna try to give an honest review based on my experience in the game. I've played Guild Wars 2 for a year now and all I did was WvW and SPVP, i hated the PVE in the game. Where as in Final Fantasy I have had an amazing experience in the game, I love the dungeons, the class flexibility, and the community the game has gathered. The graphics are fantastic, the map does take some time to get used to but it can be a pain in the early going. The fate system is cool, and the story is probably the only MMO story I have payed attention to. The mounts are cool, the vast amount of minions are cool, and the crafting professions are fun. I enjoy the fishing and the goldsmithing, unlike in GW2 where you can reach max level in 25 minutes.

Now its not a perfect game there have been some negatives. For one there is no pvp at the moment but they are releasing it soon. Two, there are insane amount of gold spammers but they have been weeded out the past few days. Three, you can not link your gear or preview them. The duty finder is a cool idea but if you are a dps you are looking at a 20-45 minute que if you do it solo. Leveling your chocobo as a fighter seems like its taking forever.

I have really enjoyed this game dungeons are really fun in the higher levels, and the game is a Final Fantasy game through and through so i love it. I hope my review can help some people out who are on the fence about getting it. As I stated a lot of review have been too much on one end of the scale so i wanted to give what i felt was an honest review. Square has made a huge turn around from the first release of the game and I can only imagine it will get better from here on out.
