Step down from Final Fantasy 12 on PS2

I'm very disappointed with this game, it just need a play button and then seat back enjoy the story. You can control your character just for battle, take some treasure and at late of this game go hunting some monster, that all. Your party management will open at late of the game, you can not change who your leader at the beginning of the game and your character role like Commando (attacker), Ravager (use magic) will be fixed, you can change the role to other role like Medic, Sentinel, Saboteur, and Synergist, when half play through, which is super boring when compared to other Final Fantasy series. The most steps down is, you can control 1 character for every battle, the other two, control by stupid A.I which does not have option to prioritize to focus on defend or offense when buff you status like increase your attack or increase your defend. Gameplay for me, it's too easy and sometimes frustrated, I give it 2/5.

When come to presentation (story, graphic and audio), this game excel the most when comparing to other RPG (like fallout, oblivion, dark souls), every character have their own personalities. For me personally, I like Lighting and hate Snow, the character voice it's top notch. You will understand why some people so annoying to Vanille. The graphic, it hard to understand when the cut-scene make using CGI or not. But at some point, at Grand Pulse, you will notice that the ground will lost some texture. For presentation, I give 2/3. Since This game so linear, you will not visit a lot of area, loading time is not an issues here, but give a boring game instead.

Lasty, for overall experience, to get a platinum trophy is the most boring part for this game, I spent about 40-60hours grinding for same enemy for CP (experience point) and for Gil (money currency) just to acquire all weapon and accessories that most of it I dont want to use, because of this trophy I almost forget about this game story. Without getting platinum, you will get 30-50hours to complete the main story with full of twist and plot.

If this game had better gameplay and open world like Final Fantasy 12, I will give this game 8-10/10. But when expectation was so high, but not live up what you expect, it fall really hard.
