Final Fantasy 13 is brilliant. breathtakingly brilliant in fact. There has been a lot of talk about it being very linear in the opening however many hours and yes it is very much walk forward and do this what FF13 brings to the mix tho is the surroundings are gorgeous, the cut-scenes are breath taking.

The game does open up to a huge enviroment you just need to get past the early stages of the game and you will be rewarded with more area to explore than you can shake a stick at.

A true fan of the series ever since Final Fantasy 7 hit the scenes made me realise that games like this are fully worth spending the time on because how often do you spend £35-£45 on a game get it home and complete it by the end of the evening. I dont think it is actually possible to do that with Final Fantasy 13 if your going to play it you should be prepared for the long run because the game is huge.
