Boring, just close your eyes and you will win just pushing X.
The mediocre: the story is alright, but suffers some of the modern FF emo romance crap.
The bad: everything else...
The mind-numbing combat, you can literally win most battles just pushing X. You barely have any sense of control over your own character and simply given your party members pre-programmed moves removing you even further from the experience. I almost stopped playing after the first five hours as I didn't feel like I was playing a game, I felt like I was watching a poorly scripted story that required me to push a button occasionally.
The lack of exploration is appalling, the maps and confining story just leads you along while you briefly interact with treasure or objects.
The characters are pretty lackluster if not annoying. Lightning is pretty cool but the rest of the motley crew will definitely find a way to annoy you.
Worst FF game of the series. By far.
