I haven't spent but 4 hours on the game yet, but so far its way better than XII.

There are things I really wish they would have just done away with. I really do miss Final Fantasy 7. The story just isn't up to par with what I expect in a Final Fantasy game. The gameplay itself, just irritates me, but its better than the previous one. I'm enjoying the actions during the scenes themselves. The animation is great like normal, but the script is a little corny. Who is this geared towards? 12 year old girls? 12 year old boys? I'm almost ashamed to admit I play it just because of the poor script! Seriously.

I really hope the more I play the more I will enjoy the story, and gameplay. I like the fact there is more freedom in the game. I really do like the Character Serah, but what is with the new guy? he looks like a replica. I really wish they would not keep totally cloning characters from previous games. Adding little likeness's is great, but an entire cloned character? I will update this review when I get through the game, but as of now, I'm already tired of playing it. It wears me out. Does anyone else feel this way? I think it will take months for me to get through the doom, gloom and cornyness.. please tell me it gets better. Oh and so far my fav. part is the moggle.. that is until it started talking like a little girl.. now I'm irritated again.
