One of if not THE best game I have played.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this game? Not much. But I can offer my own unique experence with the game, that will go down I history as the game that put me under house arest. Actually the first time I played this game I had little experence with 3d games, and no experence with RPGs at all. I was connfused not getting what was going on with what I later learned was random battles. I was young and had only picked it up off the shelve for a rental quite literally on the cover of its packaging. After talking to some friends and renting it a third time (the second time was for kicks, so we could call cloud and barret funny names) I finally got down to seriously playing the game, getting past the first reator, and into the first chapers of te story, I was all but completlty hooked. I would go back and rent it more, after having it haunt me and my day-dreams in class. It introduced me to the role playing genra, and showed me the importance of naritive, something that is now very important to me now being a writer. Speacking of the quality of this RPG would be redundant but I should say that it, in every convensional standard of measurment, holds its place near the top (just look at my attribute section.) If you havn't played it becasue its old or your not sure if its worth it, let me say to you, that all the other RPGs square (enix) has put out have not surpassed FF7 in comparison to there release dates, and thier corosponding advanced in game tech. You know, I'v had played this game time and again, and the truth is, I have never beat it. I don't know why, I could anytime, but I don't. Maybe its becasue I don't want it to end.
