Amazing storylines and gameplay make this a must-play game.

This game literally is one of the greatest, and is, arguably, the greatest. A few factors contribute to this, and I intend to explain all I can. One thing that has made many people fall in love with this game is the storyline and plot twists that guide it. It utilizes past connections and lost memories, as well as sickness and a form of poisening, in order for the lead character, Cloud, to truly understand himself and his hatred and connection with lead villian and very popular video game character, Sephiroth. In this game, the goal of Sephiroth is to reach what is known as the "Promised Land", which is fabled to have an excess amount of "Mako"(Mako is the primary source of energy in the entire FFVII world). Here, Sephiroth intends to absorb this energy and become nothing less than a God. Cloud and his band of rebels, however, intend to stop him, as well as the "Shinra Coperation", the supplier of Mako. Why do they want them stopped as well, you ask? Because Mako comes straight from the planet, and continued use of it will eventually destroy it, as you find out earlier on in the game. Other various twists and turns occur as well, and won't go into them all. It is these amazing story changes that really make you think and make you get involved in the game. The other main feature that has allowed many to enjoy this game to its full potential is the gameplay. The turn-based RPG battling system and exploration aspects add much to an already great story and complete it. Once you reach a certain point in the game, you'll be greeted to the "World Map," giving you an entire world to explore and find various side-quests, items, weapons and "Materia," a FFVII only. You'll have tons of towns, cities and temples to explore and eventually, a flightless plane, a high-speed airship and a submarine will aid you in your journey. The battle system allows you to plot out your attack strategies and choose the right combination of physical attacks, magic and summoning, an ability that allows you to summon monsters & creatures to aid you in battle. Magic and summons are all in forms of Materia, and they can be customized to equip your characters by equiping Materia to different slots of your selected weapon and armor. All these aspects of the game, added on with the great cinematic sequences and excellent music score, make this game truly amazing and this reviewers personal favorite of all time.
