My all time favourite game.

User Rating: 10 | Final Fantasy VI SNES
Final Fantasy III (or VI in Japan and on playstation) is one of the greatest games ever created. This game is a finely tuned machine, who's main purpose is to recite an explosive epic. Although the story presented in this game is the best part, it's graphics and sound were unmatched at it's time of release. Gamplay - Responsive controls, all the control options you'll ever need, a full variety of mini games and many different fighting styles are just the icing on the cake. One of the greatest stories ever told, with the most memorable characters is the real selling point here. Graphics - It's 2005 now, so the game was released over a decade ago and the graphics aren't that hard to look at. When the game was first released, FFIII was a spectacle. It was one of the first games I remember seeing that tried to avoid the "repeating tiled texture syndrome" so many of it's peers suffered from. The main characters are detailed enough that you get the basic idea of what they look like (and use your imagination for the details). The enemies are sprites of different sizes, some of them are amazing artistic pieces all on their own. The game features minimal animation, showing basic emotions in the main characters plus some impressive attack and spell animations during fight scenes. Sound - Never in any media have I heard a more suitable soundtrack to what I was experiencing. Each of the characters has his/her own theme song -though it may sound goofy, it works extraordinarily well to give the player a sense of familiarity and attachment to the characters. The sound effects always seem appropriate and of the highest quality level for the time the game was released. Value - The way all components of this game fit together create a game experience unlike any other. And yes it's better than Final Fantasy 7,8,9,10 and 11 put together. This game was the pioneer for many of the game lengthening side quests and legendary weapons found in more recent games. For $25 new on PS or $10 used on SNES there is no better place to spend your gaming dollars. Reviewers Tilt – The best game ever made, hands down. An artistic achievement of the highest merits and an experience you'll never forget.
