forget stuff like X-2 this is the grandaddy of the FF franchise and the best SNES game ever made!
graphics are excellent for the SNES and since im a sucker for 2-d games i love its charm and varied locations, plus it has decent weather effects like rain and fog. 9/10.
gameplay wise, its a little more difficult than some of its decendants, but it doesnt hinder the experience much. 8/10.
soundwise this game is perfect, it IS a final fantasy game after all so expect memorable emotion enducing sounds that will captivate you while you play, worth buying for the soundtrack alone.10/10.
value wise its cheap as hell as its about 20 years old, this is THE reason retor games are considered cool, but this isnt just retro this is vintage cream of the crop rpg action. 10/10.
overall the story is very origional and the world actually gets destroyed half way through (dont ask).
the characters are some of the most variet misfits ive ever seen and the less said about kefka the better.
put simply, buy this game ,you rpg-ing life wont be complete without it.
