After reading the reviews to this game, I finally decided to check out what all the hype was about for this reknown strategy game. True, I had never step foot in the Final Fantasy realm, but I figued that this game could be a good chance to changed that. Well.... I was somewhat let down.

To give credit where it's due, the cel-shaded cut scenes are beautiful and the music is entrancing. The art work is superb and the customization is endless. These things I had expected, and it did live up to the hype in these regards.

So why haven't I enjoyed my adventure so far?

1) The learning curve is extremely steep. Although warned, I had no idea how fast the game would take off.

2) The menus are great for customization, but it's also easy to get lost in them.

3) Playing a game that's 10 years old or so, without playing the original version in the past, really shows its age. Its difficult not to compare this game to modern RPGs, but with I can't help but feel like I'm playing a dated game..

Also, it's nice to have an RPG that takes a good chunk of time to finish *cough Fable, take note cough*, but I've realized that I may not have the dedication to get sucked into it like some.

So I suppose that brings me to my main point. Final Fantisy Tactics: War of the Lions didn't work for me. I can see how some would love it, because of the crips visuals, deep customization and story, but I just found it too steep and outdated.
